In his position with ASCAP, he managed a staff of twelve station relations representatives, was responsible for the national radio broadcast relations program, planned and hosted major corporate events and testified in court as an expert witness in the copyright law as it pertains to public performance.

Edward Tracy returned to Vermont in 1989 to a position with Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont, in the Advancement Office. He has served the University in a variety of roles during three capital campaigns from Major Gifts Officer to Campaign Director of the current Leadership Campaign from 1995 to 1998. He has planned and produced significant University events including:

In 1997, following the untimely death of Ambassador Colby, the program was renamed the William E. Colby Military Writers' Symposium. In recent years, the program has expanded to include annual sessions at the National Press Club in Washington, DC and has involved over 40 of the top authors in the country and produced three educational television programs on the events.

Edward Tracy, a graduate of the University of Vermont and a Vermont native, is currently Executive Director of the Colby Symposium, Director of University Events at Norwich University, and Vice President and Director of Programs, Marketing and Production for the McCarthy Creative Services Program Development & Speakers Division.
